Alek Moreno Velandia
Upon moving to Australia, Aleck felt that his career was moving more towards the management side of things and he wanted to pursue further study in a business related program, whilst still incorporating aspects of agriculture. Alek decided to pursue the Agricultural Business programs at the University of Adelaide and initially enrolled in the Diploma of Agricultural Business and later upgraded this to a Masters.

Agricultural Business

Agribusiness is the world's largest industry, employing half the global labour force, controlling half of the world's assets, and accounting for some 40 percent of consumer purchases. Agricultural activities influence natural resource use across vast landscapes, representing the initial links in a long chain of producing, selling, buying and consuming food, feed, fibre and fuel.

Wine Business

Students learn to combine cutting-edge and world best-practice wine marketing know-how with a working knowledge and skills in both winemaking and viticulture, thus incorporating the entire wine value chain. This is what wine industries worldwide need wine business professionals to know and understand.
