A Glossary of Australian Agricultural and Farm Business Terms

Xanthophylls	Yellow to orange pigments of plants.
Xerophyte	A plant adapted to survive under conditions of a limited water supply.
Xylem	Vascular tissue that conducts water and mineral salts throughout the plant and provides it with mechanical support. In trees, xylem cells make up the wood fibres.
