Yak Slang term for Bos indicus cattle.
Yarding Putting sheep or cattle into yards (usually with a dog or team of dogs).
Yards Stockyards designed for working stock-drafting etc.
Yearling An animal between 1 and 2 years of age. See Meat Terminology
Yield (a) The quantity of a product in a given space and/or time. 
(b) The harvested portion of a product. Syn. production, total annual yield or turnoff  
(c)The percentage saleable meat (red meat with an acceptable fat cover) in a beef carcass. style="">  Normally ranges from 50 to 70%.
(d)Proportion of useable fibre present in a lot of greasy wool expressed as a percentage. style="">  Though common usage implies a washing yield, several types of standard are in commercial use being wool base yield, clean wool content yield, and both a theoretical and commercial top and noil yield. Yield Prophet® An on-line crop production model designed to provide grain growers with real-time information about the crop during growth. It uses the computer simulation model APSIM together with paddock specific soil, crop and climate data to generate information about the likely outcomes of farming decisions.
