Agricultural Production Systems
The Agricultural and Production Systems cluster aims to advance sustainability and profitability of agricultural systems through strategic research. Researchers in this group have focused their work on the study of resource use efficiency under changing tillage systems, intensification of agricultural systems, and introduction of perennials into the agricultural landscape. The cluster is also involved in research into adoption of agricultural innovations through farmer-participatory approach and effective extension programs. The group collaborates with researchers in CSIRO (Plant Industry, Sustainable Ecosystems), SARDI and various CRCs (Future Farming Industries CRC, Weeds CRC, list other CRCs). The cluster has a broad focus on agricultural systems in South Australia and overseas (India and China in particular).
