Field Work
Field activities form an essential part of many teaching and research programmes within the School of Agriculture, Food & Wine. Field Work may require people to undertake tasks in unfamiliar surroundings that have hazards and risks that differ from those that are well known and controlled during normal campus activities.
Any staff member, student or volunteer undertaking Field Work should make themselves aware of their responsibilities outlined in the University Health, Safety and Wellbeing (HSW) Handbook, Policy and Guidelines for Field Work and the Agriculture, Food & Wine Field Work Guidelines.
Field Work Notification Form
As detailed in section 3.1 of the Field Work Guidelines any person undertaking field work must submit a Field Work Notification Form to the office of the Technical Services Co-ordinator.
Copies of the Field Work Notification Form have been placed in each Work Group Supervisor's Folder located on S:\\ drive and may be completed electronically and submitted by e-mail.
