Belinda Argent
Bachelor of Science (Animal Science) Honours
Belinda played Vet long before she entered University, gathering together all kinds of birds, fish, dogs and cats. She even bought a horse in place of her first car! Her passion for looking after animals, coupled with an enquiring mind and a strong desire to delve further into science led to a Bachelor of Science (Animal Science) with First Class Honours. Belinda commends the Animal Science program stating that she “would highly recommend it to anyone interested in the animal science field”. She adds “the opportunities that open up with the degree are wide and varied and don’t stop with the research or veterinary field”. Belinda admits that working alongside highly respected researchers at Roseworthy gave her the confidence to study Veterinary Science. She is now a practising a Veterinarian in a Salisbury clinic near where she grew up. She is pictured here with her first RSPCA rescue case; Jessie who came in as a 6 week old pup, and was soon after adopted, by Belinda!
