How to apply for Postgraduate Research study

Stage 1

Browse our Research pages and contact the staff member(s) working in research areas of interest to you. Let these staff know that you are interested in undertaking postgraduate work with them. They can provide you with detailed information about projects on offer and other important information (eg, scholarship availability for particular projects).

Stage 2

If you are an Australian student (ie, an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or holder of a humanitarian visa):

• Obtain a copy of the University Postgraduate Prospectus, which provides information about applying to the University to enrol in Postgraduate programs.
• Submit an Enrolment and Scholarship Application to the University by the end of October of the year preceding the proposed year of commencement. If you are an International student:

• Please visit the University of Adelaide International Office. This resource provides information about Adelaide and the University, application procedures, scholarships available to international students, University contacts and overseas representatives, as well as other information.
• Enrolment and scholarship applications usually must be submitted to the University by the end of August of the year preceding the proposed year of commencement.
