| 2010 Thomas Scholarship |
The Thomas Scholarship has a special emphasis on the development of opportunities for young people through secondary and tertiary education. It aims to ensure their aspirations and goals are not hampered by their family circumstances, and that their contributions to society may also benefit their communitities.
Value: The Thomas Scholarship provides up to $6000 per year for a student's tertiary study. It also offers opportunities for work placement and mentoring through Barossa based companies and businesses during the student's course.
To be eligible applicants must be:
- Currently studying Year 12 or have completed Year 12 and are either studying or working (full time or part time).
- The child of a parent (or parents) who live in the Barossa, or have lived and worked in the wine industry. The applicant need not live in the Barossa or currently reside in South Australia.
- About to begin a course of tertiary study in 2010 and have financial hardship in relation to study.
Preference will be given to those students undertaking courses relevant to the needs of the Barossa wine industry. However, studies not directly related will also be considered. For full details see the Barossa Foundation website.

| Ruth Gibson Memorial Award |
This award perpetuates the memory of Gladys Ruth Gibson CBE (1901-1972), an outstanding educator and community worker, whose vigour and vision promoted the interest of women generally, and raised their status in the world.
The 2007 Award will be up to A$4,000. This will provide financial assistance for a woman to further her studies and/or research, or to travel to a meeting, seminar, symposium or conference, either in Australia or overseas, for purposes approved by the Management Committee of the Ruth Gibson Memorial Fund. |

| The J.E. Jenkins Scholarships 2008 |
Two scholarships valued at $1000 each will be available to continuing and commencing students enrolled full-time, preferably in an agriculture or social sciences program, at the University of Adelaide. These scholarships will be available to assist with accommodation expenses for students who reside at one of the residential colleges affiliated with the University of Adelaide (Aquinas College, Lincoln College, St. Ann's College, St. Mark's College, Kathleen Lumley College or Roseworthy College) or in other University affiliated accommodation (The Village, Mattanya Housing, CITI Townhouses or University subsidised accommodation).
Applicants must be from the country or have been resident for at least twelve months continuously in the country or have served actively for at least twelve months in one of Her Majesty's military services.

The Cowen Scholarship
2008 |
The Scholarship’s primary selection criteria is one of financial constraint. It is designed to assist rural and regionally based students who would otherwise be unable to afford tertiary education in Adelaide.
It provides accommodation at either Roseworthy College to the value of up to $5,000 or St Mark’s College to the value of up to $7,000. This scholarship is for educational purposes. |

Provides $1,000 for the student with the highest TER enrolling
in Bachelor of Agriculture who is not the holder of another scholarship. |
