Breeding of Eucalypts for Cut Stem Production

Supported by RIRDC, the Australian Flora Foundation, the Playford Memorial Trust, the Laidlaw family, the Frank and Hilda Perry Trust, Longford flowers and Ausbuds, the project involves a crossing approach to develop interspecific eucalypt hybrids with superior characteristics for ornamental horticulture. Propagation and molecular genetics are also important components of the program. The project involves collaboration with the Bookmark Biosphere Reserve.
